We're looking for someone who naturally forms original opinions, and who has an outstanding ability to communicate these to your audience. Teamwork is important to you, and you understand how healthy debates and advise on solid conclusions. We want someone who has a keen desire to help those around them develop. You will also be supporting request from clients and supporting business development.

We'll trust you to:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of dedicated analysts while maintaining esprit de corps among the group
  • Lead all aspects of the team's output and research pipeline including market outlooks, analyst reactions and tailored reports on key questions that require a cross-sectoral lens and deep regional expertise
  • Play a meaningful role in determining BNEF's overall business strategy and research agenda for Europe by both listening to and giving input to management and the commercial team
  • Deliver outstanding analysis on how the latest developments in policy, technology and finance are changing the long-term outlook for the energy mix Europe
  • Produce long-term energy scenarios for Europe and European countries.
  • Be responsible for the Europe's contributions to global BNEF reports and crafting spin-off reports specific to the region
  • Write insightful, important research that advises BNEF clients worldwide while affirming the BNEF brand both within and beyond the industry
  • Edit all BNEF research produced by the Europe regional team and ensure it is of excellent quality
  • Be a key voice on the industry for current clients, potential clients, the media, public-policy leaders, and others
  • Present our research in multiple platforms such as conferences and webinars regularly, clearly communicate it to clients and prospects
  • Answer client requests and support business development through client engagement
  • Collaborate with a high degree of integrity with colleagues and clients from different countries and cultures
  • Build a network of key energy transition partners in Brussels and across Europe

You'll need to have:

  • A broad and comprehensive understanding of the energy industry, with a Europe focus. This includes a knowledge of decarbonization pathways across power, transport, buildings and industry and their interplay with commodity markets
