Team Lead Occupational Therapist - Stroke
37.5 hours - 12 Month fixed term or secondment
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Lead Occupational Therapist to join our in-patient Stroke ward at Lincoln County Hospital. The role will require a passion for working with people who have been admitted to Stroke ward, which is a dynamic workplace, dedicated to comprehensive patient centred care. You will work alongside the physiotherapist Team Lead to jointly manage the integrated therapy team, whilst working as part of the senior MDT team to deliver on the values and visions within the service.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will lead a developing and experienced clinical team of Occupational Therapy staff Bands 3-6 and will support the development of Therapy staff as part of the wider MDT to deliver evidence based interventions for people on the inpatient ward areas. The post holder will be an important part of the Senior Leadership Team of therapists at Lincoln County Hospital and will frequently be asked to advise and support with other teams and to support the Site Therapy Leads in development work and leadership duties.
The successful candidate must be flexible, innovative & highly motivated. The role requires the appointed person to be proactive and adaptable to support the smooth and prompt transition of in- patient care to the individuals' place of discharge, taking into account their needs. The successful applicant will be well supported within the Occupational Therapy service and will be encouraged to develop the service.
