Team Lead, New Business Intake (NBI)

The Team Lead, NBI, will support the Intake Manager in supervising a team of analysts within the New Business Intake department. The role involves providing efficient service to in-market personnel, including Firm Partners and offices, for opening new and existing client registrations and matters. The individual will guide Partners to ensure compliance with ethical and legal duties, avoiding conflicts of interest and meeting professional responsibilities.

Responsibilities include leading the team in daily activities, ensuring high performance and adherence to firm policies, supporting escalations and stakeholder queries, conducting quality assurance checks, and coaching team members for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the firm and partners in the new business intake and maintenance processes, managing risk in client onboarding and matter opening.
  • Supervise team members, assign daily tasks, ensure completion of NBI checks, and coordinate with global teams.
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs and SLAs, ensuring requests are processed within the 2-day target.
  • Provide feedback and drive engagement to meet quality standards, including the 95% Right First Time Intake target.
  • Offer advice, mentoring, and training on compliance issues, including Anti-Money Laundering, KYC, and related policies.
  • Implement quality checks and support continuous improvement through constructive feedback.
  • Manage performance through regular one-to-one meetings, aligning objectives and expectations.
  • Oversee training and development, identifying needs and supporting skill enhancement.
  • Handle personnel and administrative duties such as resourcing, attendance, and staff training.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver projects aligned with departmental goals.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in supervision or people management, preferably in operations.
  • Customer service focus with strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach.
