World Leader in Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings.
We have a Centre of Excellence and Innovation in Witney for the manufacture of test strips and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The Operations group is the largest team in the Witney facility, producing high volumes of test strips and biosensors each year to the stringent quality standards demanded by European and US authorities and our internal quality systems.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing workstream in the role of Team Lead / Team Manager, a group of leaders collectively accountable for managing all aspects of the operation of the Manufacturing Unit. This position is covering a night shift pattern of 4 on 4 off.
The Team Lead/Manager is expected to ensure activities are performed in the manner that supports a Manufacturing Centre of Excellence, Good Manufacturing Practice, and best in class working practices. Responsibilities will include:
Driving ownership and accountability in your team, your focus will be on supporting the ongoing development of both process and people, managing strategic relationships both internally and externally, collating and reporting departmental metrics, and delivering business critical activities.
To be successful, you will need to have completed Secondary Level education, and be able to demonstrate exposure to Operations/Manufacturing environments (including working knowledge of GMP, Technical, and Quality requirements), ideally within a regulated environment.
You will be a natural people leader, with proven experience in 2nd line management (including strategy, resource planning, financials etc, as a preference). Bringing strong communication skills, an engaging and motivating style, and passion for leading change and continuous improvement projects, you will champion our business culture and evolving journey.
