Job summary

A global energy solutions provider is seeking an experienced engineer to lead a team focused on HVDC control and DC protection. This role entails managing engineers, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in electrical power engineering, knowledge of high-voltage systems, and proficiency with power simulation tools. The position also supports a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the company.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical power or control engineering, ideally with MSc or PhD.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage applications and HVDC systems.
• Expertise in control engineering and HVDC system modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of up to 10 engineers focused on HVDC solutions.
• Oversee technical delivery of DC protection across HVDC projects.
• Define and coordinate innovative control and protection concepts.

Skills

Knowledge of high-voltage applications

Expertise in control engineering

Effective communication

Familiarity with PSCAD/EMTDC

Fluent in English

Education

Degree in electrical power or control engineering
