INTERNAL JOB OPPORTUNITY – LEAD EQUINE TECHNICIAN

Are you passionate about equine care and ready to step into a role with oversight, responsibility, and real impact? We're looking for a highly organised, motivated Equine Technician to help run our new equine facility.

This is your chance to take ownership of our Equine Facility and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our equine clients and supporting our veterinary team. If you're confident working with horses, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love collaborating with people – we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Oversight and day-to-day management of the Equine Facility
  • Hands-on support with equine procedures, including radiography, surgery, lameness exams, and breeding
  • Communicating clearly with clients and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly
  • Supporting vets in the field with efficient prep, pack-down, medication, and record-keeping
  • Maintaining a high standard of organisation, cleanliness, and safety
  • Ensuring adequate supplies are available
  • Coordinating team rosters for optimal coverage and efficiencies
  • Promoting additional services and helping boost clinic performance
  • Upskilling equine technicians across the group as required
  • Organise CPD events, promotional events & clinical meetings as required
  • Assist the group lead equine veterinarian as required
  • Working with the administration team on aged debtors, ensuring payment terms are communicated clearly and overdue accounts are followed up with clients.
  • Contributing to and providing input to the Equine Team Leaders into performance reviews for equine technicians
