Amazon – where builders can build! We’re looking for a smart, customer-obsessed innovator and owner to join our Operations Team.

Purview of a Team Lead

Team Lead, Operations is responsible for managing a team and facilitating the flow of information across multiple stakeholders to resolve any potential issues that impact customer experience or business continuity.

The candidate should have a basic understanding of the logistics space and should be able to communicate clearly in written and oral form. She/he should be able to come up with process improvements and drive them through completion.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Managing a shift, constantly identifying opportunities to improve team performance, and owning associated change management.
  2. Developing and referring to performance metrics to drive team performance and business results.
  3. Identifying the business impact of trends and making data-backed decisions.
  4. Communicating with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers).
  5. Escalating problems or variances in the data to relevant owners and following through on resolutions.
  6. Ability to pull data from databases (using Excel, Access, SQL, or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

As a Team Lead, Operations, you will manage a team and facilitate information flow across stakeholders to resolve issues impacting customer experience and business continuity. A basic understanding of logistics and clear communication skills are essential. You should also be able to develop and implement process improvements.

Minimum Requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading English.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or customer-facing environment.
  • Experience in an operational role.
