Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Team Lead in Wimborne to manage a multi-agency multidisciplinary team and oversee the day-to-day running of key projects. This role focuses on delivering flexible, accessible services to service users and embedding recognised models across the service.

You will develop pathways, maintain strong external links, and deputise for the Service/Area Manager when required, all while ensuring high-quality, compliant delivery and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a multi-agency multidisciplinary team delivering a flexible, accessible service to service users.
  • Oversee day-to-day running of designated projects and embed the relevant models within the service.
  • Liaise with external agencies to benefit service users and develop effective links with community services.
  • Develop and agree pathways and procedures across the service.
  • Mentor, coach and support staff including volunteers and oversee performance reviews.
  • Deliver appropriate training, recruitment, induction and monitor performance.
  • Audit staff and service targets against specifications and contractual targets.
  • Achieve targets by motivating and managing the team in partnership with management.
  • Deputise for the Service/Area Manager and provide service cover when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide reports to external stakeholders.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Full- time, Permanent

Salary: £31,030.00 - £41,980.00 per annum

About the Role

You will manage, supervise and oversee a multi-agency/multidisciplinary team, providing a flexible and accessible service to service users. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of designated projects and assist in the development of your service area, ensuring that relevant models are embedded within the service. The role involves working closely with other agencies and developing effective links with services and facilities within community and custodial settings to benefit service users. You will also support the development of effective pathways and procedures across the service. You will work alongside the Service/Area Manager to support the effective delivery, monitoring and development of the service, including performance against service specifications and contractual targets. You will also deputise for the Service/Area Manager and provide ongoing service cover in the absence of other managers across the service.

What You'll Do
  • Manage, supervise and oversee a multi-agency/multidisciplinary team offering a flexible and accessible service to service users.
  • Oversee and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of designated projects and assist in the development of your service area, ensuring the relevant models are embedded within the service.
  • Promote the work of the service, liaising closely with other agencies and making effective links with services and facilities in community and custodial settings to benefit service users.
  • Develop and agree effective pathways and procedures across the service.
  • Manage, mentor, coach and support the development of staff reporting to you, including volunteers.
  • Be involved in delivering appropriate training, recruitment, induction, monitoring performance, managing absence and Performance & Development Reviews (PDRs)/supervisions.
  • Audit staff and service targets against individual staff, service specifications and contractual targets.
  • Achieve performance targets in conjunction with management through effectively motivating and managing the team.
  • Liaise with other agencies involved with service users, including Social Services, Job Centre, Housing, Probation Service/NOMS Prison Service, other treatment providers and drug and alcohol services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports and provide written and verbal reports as required.
  • Provide a high-quality service that is compliant with CQC standards.
  • Assist in the development of effective systems for the monitoring and evaluation of the service.
  • Ensure safeguarding, serious untoward incidents, complaints and any other risks are managed in line with policy and communicated to the Service/Area Manager.
  • Hold a small caseload when needed, where relevant, to support service delivery to clients.
  • Assist the Service/Area Manager in ensuring all reports to external stakeholders are timely, accurate and 100% compliant.
  • Participate in service activities by attending thematic and managers' meetings and support any development work arising from these.
  • Deputise for the Service/Area Manager and provide ongoing service cover in the absence of other managers across the service.
