Job summary

Rivermead View, Residential Care Home in Looe is seeking a Senior or Healthcare Assistant to lead night shift and guide a team of carers. This fixed-term maternity cover role emphasizes compassionate, person-centred care for residents and ongoing care plan development.

You will mentor staff, coordinate the night team, and ensure safe medication administration while upholding CQC standards. Requires Level 3 Health & Social Care and 2+ years in care.

Qualifications

You will:

• Lead and coordinate the care team during your shift

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or working towards)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the care sector
• Experience administering medication
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Good understanding of safeguarding and person‑centred care
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
• Eligible to work in the UK and able to provide original documents for a DBS check
• Experience with care audits and quality monitoring
• Knowledge of CQC standards and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
• Restore2, First Aid, and Fire Warden training

Pay Rates

• £14.44 per hour
