Job description

Working at Transurban is different; it’s a place where you can see the benefits of your work play out in real life, every day. We create city-sized solutions — building and operating safer, smarter, and more sustainable roads — to solve pressing transport challenges that are slowing cities down.

About the role

Please note this is a 12 months fixed term contract.

We're looking for a Team Coordinator to be the backbone of our Corporate Affairs team! In this dynamic role, you'll manage day-to-day operations, coordinate meetings and events, handle procurement and supplier admin, and keep things running smoothly. You'll also liaise with senior stakeholders and support expense reconciliations—making a real impact across the business. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love keeping things organized, we’d love to hear from you!

As our Team Coordinator, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:

  1. Support the Corporate Affairs leadership team to coordinate meetings, book travel and process expenses.
  2. Coordinate and schedule meetings and events as requested including logistics, setting agenda, and taking actions as required.
  3. Support teams in management of their suppliers including through raising requisitions, coordinating agreements and processing invoices all in accordance with internal procedures.
  4. Support teams to ensure timely reconciliation of expenses including corporate credit card expenses in accordance with relevant policies.
  5. Maintain group calendars, registers, databases and hubs.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:

  1. Similar experience in an Administrative Support role.
  2. Proactive approach in supporting leaders with diary management, meeting preparation, managing correspondence, emails and telephone calls.
  3. Exposure to working in a matrix corporate environment is advantageous.
  4. Effective communicator with the ability to build collaborative and influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities on any given day.
  6. Exceptional written, numerical and verbal skills to effectively communicate with the project team, contractors and customers.

If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.

With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  1. A range of flexible working and leave options, including the option to purchase an additional six weeks of leave each year.
  2. 16 weeks paid parental leave (regardless of gender or carer status), with no waiting period, with Superannuation paid during unpaid leave as well.
  3. Learning and development opportunities to support your career interests.
  4. Health and wellbeing support — access to Headspace and our EAP program, wellness facilities, and more.
  5. Share offers and insurance benefits.
  6. Social activities, community give-back programs and paid volunteer days.

We embrace diversity with a foundation of safety, wellbeing and inclusion; where everyone belongs. We treat everyone with fairness, consideration and respect, regardless of gender, gender identity, marital or family status, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious beliefs, cultural or socio-economic background, perspective, and experience – whether they work for us or not. We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe to express ideas, questions and concerns.

We strongly encourage applications from candidates of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people living with disability. If you require any adjustments or support during the recruitment process, please contact us.
