Peel Hunt LLP is seeking a Team Assistant to provide temporary cover for approximately 8 weeks. The role involves supporting various front office teams, managing logistics, and general administration tasks while working closely with the current assistants. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial sector.
This role is to provide temporary cover, for a sabbatical period of c.8 weeks starting 15 September2025 and concluding w/c 10 November 2025.
It would also be desirable if the successfulcandidate could be available for a week'shandover w/c 8 September 2025.
1. ROLE SUMMARY AND DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Team Assistant’s primary responsibility will be to support the current team of Peel Hunt Assistants with general day to day operations and administration, supporting front office teams including Research, Trading, Marketing and ManCom & ExCo members. The new assistant will work closely with the current assistants and be able to sit with various departments to gain a broader overview of the company and insight into different departments.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Role Responsibilities: The Team Assistant’s primary role will be to assist the day-to-day operations of the front office. The role holder will also be required to help elsewhere at Peel Hunt supporting the other Assistants.
1. Organising and booking logistics for roadshows and meetings both internal and external (restaurants, travel agent liaison for flights, trains and hotels, cars, printers etc.)
2. Telephone answering
3. Assist with large meetings and conferences, helping the marketing team with event admin (marketing events may occasionally involve working outside of core as often early starts, late finishes.)
4. Expense management
5. Room Bookings, catering forms and opening client video calls
6. Diary management
7. Travel arrangements
8. Providing cover when other secretarial members are away
9. Assisting with general company-wide administration duties as required
10. Ad-hoc duties as required
11. Some personal tasks for senior management – getting lunches, coffees, personal errands
12. Assisting HR in setting up candidate interviews
13. Dealing with confidential management information in a discreet & professional manner
14. Have an understanding of the regulatory environment, and values and abilities consistent with the FCA conduct rules
Key Capabilities and Knowledge:
1. At least 2-3 years’ experience a similar Team Assistant/PA role ideally within the financial sector
2. Effective written and communication skills
3. Excellent telephone manner
4. High level of interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work under pressure
6. Highly organised with the ability to multi-task
7. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
8. Experience in Financial services is desirable
9. General office skills such as filing, photocopying etc.
