Team Assistant
Croydon
3 Months
35 Hours
£17.28 LTD / £14.83 PAYE (inc hol)
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Team Assistant to join a busy Purchasing and Materials Team within a well-regarded Housing Association based in Croydon.

THE ROLE
You will play a key role in supporting the efficient ordering and delivery of materials and equipment by liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Manage material orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain part numbers, pricing, and warranty details
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
  • Review and follow up on overdue orders and report significant delays
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in orders or deliveries
  • Support the wider team with cost-saving initiatives and procurement improvements
  • Undertake general administrative duties to support the purchasing function

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a purchasing or procurement environment and be confident working with suppliers and ordering systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable using computerised ordering systems and tracking tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines

THE CONTRACT
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 3-Month Temporary Contract – Potential for Temp to Perm
  • The pay for the role is £17.28 per hour LTD company rate.
  • The PAYE equivalent is £14.83 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
