Job description

Job Title: Administrative Support for Adult ADHD Service

The role involves providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Adult ADHD service, supporting consultants, assistant psychologists, ADHD specialist nurses, and other clinical staff. The post holder will liaise with service users and carers regarding prescriptions, appointments, and medical reviews, ensuring accurate maintenance of patient records, assisting in clinic setup, and overseeing the distribution of diagnostic reports. The role requires initiative, discretion, and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing support to the clinical team: including Consultants, Nurse Prescribers, Practitioners, Assistant Practitioners, and Assistant Psychologists.
  2. Maintaining patient records: on RIO and other systems, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  3. Clinic organization: supporting setup, workload distribution, and operational efficiency.
  4. Handling service user issues: in collaboration with PALS and the team, resolving operational problems, and providing colleague cover during absences.
  5. Participating in team activities: MDT meetings, appraisals, and training sessions.
  6. Adhering to Trust policies: including sustainability, health and safety, and infection prevention.
  7. Supporting outreach and training sessions: attending ADHD team masterclasses and community outreach, providing admin support.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, RiO, and prescription databases is required.
