At Masterclass, we have been tasked with recruiting for a Teaching Support Assistant for a wonderful mainstream primary school in Littlehampton. They provide a happy and safe environment where the children can thrive in their education, with an amazing outdoor area to expand learning outside the classroom and a forest for exploring new environments while receiving a high-quality education during their primary years.

The school are looking for someone to work and support in early years. You would be supporting the children in formal lessons with the support of the class teacher. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • To support the children's development across all areas of their development
  • Support and encourage positive behaviour management
  • Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
  • To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
  • To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
  • To be able to provide personal care if needed
CPD and Training
