Job summary

The University of Cambridge’s Psychology Department is seeking an experienced Teaching Office Manager to lead the Teaching Office team and ensure high-quality support for undergraduate and postgraduate education in a busy, friendly department.

Working closely with the Deputy Head of Department for Undergraduate Education, the role will translate policy into procedures, embed admin best practice, and line-manage the Teaching Administrator and Postgraduate Administrator.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching coordination roles.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Exceptional organisational abilities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Teaching Office team and oversee day-to-day activity.
• Translate policy into procedures and embed administrative best practice.
• Line-manage the Teaching Administrator and Postgraduate Administrator.
• Respond to change and support the department accordingly.
• Temporary cover for 1 year or until the post holder returns.
