37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Are you looking for the perfect progression opportunity which will be the start of the next step in your teaching career? Our Teaching and Learning Manager is the role for you.

Brighton Met College is a dynamic and inclusive further education college based in the busy North Laines area in the heart of the city. Our Creative Industries department is dedicated to providing high-quality education and training to young people and adults studying art, fashion, photography, film, creative media, 3D Design, graphics and illustration. With a strong reputation for excellence in creative arts, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching and Learning Manager to lead our Art and Photography provision for 16-19-year-olds.

As a Teaching and Learning Manager, you will also have a positive impact on staff within your curriculum team. You will support staff to enhance and improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment by coaching and providing advice, whilst encouraging and supporting risk taking and innovation.

Although primarily a management position, the Teaching and Learning Manager role requires you to teach 3 hours per week, which will enable you to lead by example and ensure you are able to continue your teaching directly with students that inspired you to start your teaching career in the first place.

Our Teaching and Learning Manager will hold a full teaching qualification and a Level 3 or higher qualification relevant to the area. You will bring a wealth of teaching experience from the Further Education sector and be able to demonstrate up-to-date teaching methodologies.

This site has recently benefited from a 16-million-pound reinvestment, and we are proud to offer our school leavers, apprentices and adult learners cutting edge facilities in the heart of the city.

Working for the Chichester College Group means you get amazing benefits, with a Teachers Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement highly competitive against what is offered by the private sector and other organisations. You also get access to a range of discount schemes and professional development opportunities. Check out the Staff Benefits booklet attached to this advert for more information about our fantastic range of benefits available to staff.
