A leading British university in Birmingham seeks a full-time lecturer in Computer Science to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students. Candidates must hold a higher degree in Computer Science and be familiar with Python, with responsibilities including teaching, module design, and student supervision. Full time starting salary is normally in the range £36,636 to £46,049 with potential progression once in post to £48,822

To teach and advise undergraduate, postgraduate taught and CPD students within the School of Computer Science, in particular taking responsibility for a limited number of postgraduate level taught modules in the post holder’s area of expertise. The role will also involve supporting the development of new postgraduate level programmes in the area of Computer Science where required, as well as contributing to delivery and enhancement of existing undergraduate and postgraduate provision. This will include teaching on the January-start MSc programme, which requires teaching during the summer. The post holder will be additionally support activities under the supervision of academic staff with overall responsibility for the programme design, delivery and assessment. They will also contribute to other modules, particularly those related to Python programming, and will also supervise project students.
