Job description

TES FE News Kingston upon Hull, England Metropolitan Area

Teaching/Care Assistant

Estcourt Primary Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching/Care Assistant to join our academy in September 2025 on a part-time, temporary basis.

Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.

Your new role

As a Teaching / Care Assistant, you will provide one-to-one personal support for pupils with additional needs. You will offer special educational and/or medical support to ensure their successful engagement with and access to learning. Maintaining professional records and appropriate notes related to the individual pupil will be part of your responsibilities.

Hours: 17.5 hours per week / Term Time only (38 Weeks) / Temporary

If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience, we would very much like to hear from you.

Your new school

Our academy was recently visited by Ofsted in January 2025 and received an outstanding judgement in all strands of inspection. Our school is highly diverse, with over a third of pupils speaking a different language or coming from different countries. The percentage of pupils with identified SEND needs is above the national and local averages.

This role is suitable for an ambitious individual committed to innovation, professional development, and making a difference in our community. You will join a team dedicated to developing the academy into its best potential, contributing to curriculum and extended provision innovation.

We are located near other Delta academies—Craven Primary Academy, Mersey Primary Academy, and The Parks Academy—facilitating close collaboration and shared best practices.

Why join us?

Our staff are talented, enthusiastic, and contribute to the trust’s success. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team within a high-performing multi-academy trust with promising career prospects.

We offer extensive employee benefits focused on your Financial, Physical, and Mental Wellbeing, including:

  • Membership to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme or the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Technology and Vehicle Leasing Schemes
  • Discount platform access

Physical Wellbeing benefits include online GP access, gym discounts, Cycle to Work scheme, and free annual flu jabs.

Mental Wellbeing support includes Employee Assistance Programmes, Menopause Support, and trained Mental Health First Aiders.

Holiday entitlement: minimum 35 days (pro rata for part-time), including statutory Bank Holidays.
