We are seeking to appoint to the post of Teaching Associate based within the Language Centre in the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French language at C1-C1+ level as well as associated administrative duties. Acting as Module convener for C1-C1+ French modules, the role holder will contribute to the development of the modules in general, and produce written, oral, listening examinations and continuous assessment materials (support will be provided if this is a candidate’s first convening position).

Candidates must hold a Degree in French or equivalent qualification, have native command of French have a PGCE, or PGCHE or equivalent teaching qualification. Candidates should have a proven track record in University teaching of French.

This is a part-time, fixed term post:

  • Semester 1 (21/09/26 to 22/01/27) – 7.25 hrs per week (0.2 FTE)
  • Semester 2 (23/01/27 to 30/06/27) – 14.5 hrs per week (0.4 FTE)
