Job summary

A leading school in Carlisle is seeking two temporary Teaching Assistants to provide support for students with special educational needs from September 2024 to August 2025. The ideal candidates will possess NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have experience working with children with additional needs. The role requires strong behavioral management skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Applicants are expected to share the school's commitment to safeguarding and complete a DBS check.

Required From September 2024 To 31st August 2025

This school wishes to appoint two temporary Teaching Assistant from September 2024 to provide support for named pupils in line with school SEND needs.

The postholder will need to be:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• able to support our whole school inclusive ethos
• a key worker for individual children, providing for and supporting their needs
• experience with working with children with additional needs linked to their EHCP’s
• experience with supporting children with communication and interaction needs
• knowledge of Early Years or Key Stage 1 practices
• able to work with all stakeholders, enabling the child to reach their full potential
• have strong behavioural management skills
• an enthusiastic, committed and successful practitioner
• able to work responsibly and collaboratively within a team
