Teaching Assistants (Multiple Roles Available) - Secondary Special School in Aylesbury

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025

Our client, a supportive and inclusive secondary special school in Aylesbury, is seeking multiple Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Support teachers in delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Assist with classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies.
  • Encourage students' social and emotional development through structured activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Has experience working with young people with SEND (desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, compassionate, and committed to supporting students' learning and well-being.
  • Can build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) or is willing to train.
