20 hours per week Term Time 4 hours per day.

Required for September 2025 or sooner

Salary: TA 1 Grade D pt 6 £25,183 pt 11 £27,269 pro rata

Actual Salary at Grade D pt 6 = £11,382 - £12,325 pa gross

It is desirable that applicants have recent,relevant experience ideally in a school/respite setting with children who have significant special needs

The school are looking for Teaching Assistants Level 1 to join our enthusiastic and committed team in an OUTSTANDING (Ofsted Nov 2023) Special School. Green Fold School is part of the Orchards Federation which includes Cherry Tree Primary and the Orchards Nursery. Green Fold also has classes at our Saplings (Lever Edge Lane, Bolton) and classes at our Seedlings site (formerly Alexandra Nursery School) in Bolton.

Desirable personal skills and knowledge are as follows:

  • To have a basic awareness of school curriculum
  • Good personal numeracy and literacy skills
  • A basic awareness of children with additional needs especially within a school setting
  • Patience/nurturing and caring manner
