Job description

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school community. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality support for pupils’ learning and wellbeing across the classroom. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
  1. Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals.
  2. Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities.
  3. Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  4. Provide emotional and behavioural support to help pupils feel safe and engaged.
  5. Help maintain a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  6. Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, EAL or social/emotional difficulties.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
  1. Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable).
  2. A positive, patient and flexible approach.
  3. Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills as a Teaching Assistant.
  4. Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  5. A genuine interest in child development and supporting learning.
