Pinewood School in Ware, Hertfordshire, is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEN in a welcoming, inclusive environment. You will work under experienced staff to help learners engage with lessons and activities.

The role emphasizes patience, positivity and a willingness to learn, with term-time hours and inset days. Training and staff wellbeing are highlighted by the school.

Formación

• A good standard of education particularly in English and Mathematics.
• Knowledge of health, safety and security requirements in learning environments.
• SEN Code of Practice knowledge is desirable; training will be provided.
• Experience supporting children in a classroom environment.
• Experience using IT to support pupils in learning.

You’ll work closely with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs including Learning Difficulties, Autism, Speech, Language & Communication, & Behavioural Needs. Knowledge & Experience

• A good standard of education particularly in English and Mathematics
• Knowledge of the legal and organisational requirements for maintaining the health, safety and security of yourself and others in the learning environment
• Knowledge of SEN Code of Practice (desirable but not essential as full training will be given)
• Experience of supporting children in a classroom environment
• Experience of using Information Technology to support pupils in the classroom
