Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to join a team and work in a variety of friendly and supportive primary and/or secondary schools across theHertfordshireregion.

This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, values work-life balance, and wants to gain experience across different year groups and educational settings. Day-to-day, short-term and long-term assignments are available depending on your availability and interests. Beginning ASAP.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide classroom support under the direction of the class teacher

  • Work with individuals or small groups to support learning and engagement

  • Help prepare resources and create a positive learning environment

  • Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND or EAL, as needed

  • Assist with behaviour management and promote a safe, inclusive atmosphere

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting

  • A flexible and proactive approach to classroom support

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.

  • A calm, positive, and patient manner

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential
