Year 6 Teaching Assistant (with SATs Support Experience)

A well-regarded Church of England primary school in Central London is looking for a skilled and dedicated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. You’ll play a key part in helping pupils feel confident, capable, and calm in the lead-up to their SATs and beyond.

What You’ll Be Doing:In this role, you’ll support pupils in the lead-up to and during their SATs by:
- Working with small groups and individuals to reinforce key skills in reading, writing, and maths.
- Supporting pupils with test techniques, time management, and stress reduction.
- Helping to differentiate classwork and revision tasks to meet varied needs.
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
- Encouraging and motivating pupils to build confidence and resilience as independent learners.
- Contributing to a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
We’d Love to Hear From You If:- You’ve previously worked in Year 6 or KS2 and supported pupils during SATs preparation.
- You have strong subject knowledge in core areas (especially reading, writing, and maths).
- You’re positive, patient, and proactive in helping children reach their potential.
- You can manage small groups with a calm, consistent presence and adapt to changing needs.
- You hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, ideally grade C/4 or above.
- You’re committed to safeguarding and are happy to engage in ongoing professional development.
