Teaching Assistant - Year 2 (Mainstream Primary School)
Location: Saltley, Birmingham
Position Type: Full-Time Term Time Only (32.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 3:30PM)
Start Date: September 2025
Pay Rate: Competitive (Based on Experience)
Contract Type: Long-Term, with potential to extend or become permanent

Prospero Teaching is working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Saltley, Birmingham to recruit a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a nurturing and proactive approach who is looking to support young learners at a crucial stage in their development.

About the Role:
Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning across the curriculum
Support children with a range of needs, including mild SEN and social/emotional development
Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning across the curriculum
Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children in KS1
Be positive, reliable, and enthusiastic about helping children learn
Show initiative and adaptability in a busy classroom setting
Be a team player with strong communication skills

Essential Requirements:
Right to Work in the UK
Experience working with children in a school or early years setting
A Level 2 Qualification in Teaching & Learning, TA, or Childcare
A valid Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
Two recent, child-related professional references (covering the last two years)
