GSL Education are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with MDSA (Midday Supervisory Assistant) duties for a school in Eastbourne. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about making a difference in children's daily school experience, providing support with learning during lessons and ensuring a safe and positive environment during breaks.

About the School: The school offers a supportive and inclusive setting where every child is encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Staff work collaboratively and are committed to creating a respectful and structured learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-class support to individual pupils and small groups under teacher direction.
  • Assist with preparing learning materials and supporting differentiated instruction.
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour and engagement during lessons.
  • Supervise pupils during lunch and break times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Support the emotional and social development of pupils throughout the school day.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care if required.
  • Anenhanced DBScertificate on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
