Teaching Assistant - SEN (Primary)
Location: Hammersmith
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time / Long-term (potential for permanent)

Do you have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to thrive in their learning and development? We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hammersmith.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting primary-aged children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and social/emotional needs.
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supporting children with social skills, emotional regulation, and personal development.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within SEN or primary settings.
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong, positive relationships.
  • Resilient, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of different learners.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
