Walmer Site - Teaching Assistants Needed for Our Growing School

New Classes Opening from Summer 2025

We have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic team at our Walmer provision. Our new building will be open from summer 2025, and we are looking for new team members to support our expanding school community.

Hours: 8.50am to 3.25pm, Monday to Friday, term time only plus five INSET days (39 working weeks per year)

Salary: KSA £19,392 including Special Educational Needs Allowance

The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced, motivated team in a well-resourced environment. They will support individual pupils and classes to access learning in a nurturing environment, in line with our school values. TA positions are based within a class team but may require coverage in other classes when needed.

We promote internal progression; many TAs have advanced to HLTA roles and further into teaching pathways. The Beacon has strong links with the University of Buckinghamshire, supporting TAs to study remotely for a BA (Hons) in Primary Education alongside their paid TA role.
