Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant/SEN Trainee Teacher at a specialist independent provision in the UK. The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:45-4:45, with a 1:1 to group teaching path and funded training to qualify as part of the teaching team.

The school supports 90 pupils with Autism and associated needs, aims to create an inclusive and safe learning environment, and offers 1:1 learning, therapy rooms, and a welcoming staff culture.

Qualifications

• Creative, friendly and resilient individual who is committed to supporting learners with SEN.
• Experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)
• GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent
• Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and sensory experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum to small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
• In this training role you will start as a 1:1 TA and over 1-2 years will receive training and qualifications to become a member of the teaching team.

This role is needed due to a current member of the support team relocating. This inspiring school is a specialist independent provision that supports 90 pupils with Autism and associated needs. The school supports pupils from all walks of life from the age of 4-19 years. It is both a primary and secondary provision. In this role as Teaching Assistant/ Trainee Teacher; your role will be to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and sensory experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum to small groups or on a 1;1 basis. This is a training role. You will start as a 1:1 TA and over 1-2 years will be given the training and qualifications to become a member of the teaching team. This role is needed Monday - Friday 08:45-4:45pm.
