Salary: £95 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently inviting applications for a committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in a well-regarded SEN school in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a nurturing team that supports pupils with a range of additional learning needs.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN specialists to provide individualised learning and care for pupils with a range of complex needs. Your role will be instrumental in helping students access education in a way that suits their abilities and learning styles.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN
  • Assisting in the delivery of learning activities under the guidance of the teacher
  • Encouraging social and emotional development
  • Supporting students in managing their behaviour positively
  • Ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support progress

Job Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (either in a school or care setting) is highly advantageous
  • A calm, nurturing, and flexible approach to supporting young learners
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A genuine passion for helping young people with additional needs
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (Essential)
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
