Overview

I am working exclusively with a large trust within the York area, that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA) to help support students in their primary schools. The role is working on a 1 to 1 basis, working with students with SEN needs. The role starts in November 2025 and will run until the Easter break in the first instance. They will look to offer permanent positions, depending on staff suitability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN needs
  • Assist with group management of school-aged children
  • Support learning and development of pupils
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience of group management of school-aged children
  • Shown commitment to learning and development of pupils
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and students
  • Experience of working with children or young adults within the SEN or care sector is essential
