About the role

Aspire People is looking for passionate and dedicated General Teaching Assistants to join our pool of talented supply staff. We are offering both day-to-day and long-term supply work in primary schools across Leicester. If you're looking to make a difference in the classroom and enjoy the flexibility that supply teaching offers, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom support to teachers and students.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons.
  • Support students with their learning needs, both individually and in small groups.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback on student progress to teachers.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment to promote student learning.
Requirements
  • Must hold an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the Update Service.
  • Previous experience working with children (either in a teaching assistant role or similar) is preferred but not essential.
  • A passion for education and working with children.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across various schools and adapt to different classroom environments.
