Job description

Got a background in coaching, PE, or sports leadership? Fancy using your energy and teamwork skills to support pupils both in and out of the classroom?

We’re looking for Teaching Assistants with a sporty streak—people who know the power of encouragement, structure, and goal-setting. Whether you're a coach, personal trainer, or just passionate about sport and fitness, your skills can make a real difference in school life.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting pupils with classroom learning and physical activity

  • Leading or assisting with PE lessons, active play, or school sports clubs

  • Mentoring pupils to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork

  • Supporting children 1:1 or in small groups—especially those who thrive through movement

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience working with children or young people in schools, coaching or youth work

  • A calm, confident presence and a positive attitude

  • Strong communication and role model behaviour

  • A flexible, can-do approach to supporting learning in all areas

  • Thrive training is a bonus—but we can offer it for free if not!

The must-haves:

You’ll need an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be happy to get one through us—we’ll help make it easy).

Why join Protocol Education?
  • Weekly pay via PAYE – no umbrella nonsense

  • Free CPD including behaviour management and Thrive
