Job description

Teaching Assistant - specialising in behaviour

Location: Rotherham

Contract: Full time, term-time only

We are seeking passionate and dedicated teaching assistants eager to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children. If you are committed to supporting and empowering students in a pupil referral unit setting, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a rewarding career while helping young people thrive and succeed. Join us in creating an environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential!

Children attending a pupil referral unit often present with social, emotional & mental health difficulties in students aged between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4. The role involves providing stability, education, and empowerment, taking into account each learner's individualised, differentiated learning styles to ensure social, emotional, and educational integration.

The initial assignment will assess how well you fit into the setting, so you need to be fully committed and enthusiastic about making a difference in children's lives. Willingness to use your own initiative to stand out is essential. If your potential is recognized, the setting may offer you a permanent position and a clear career progression plan.
