Teaching Assistant – Class Assistant - Aspiring Clinical/Educational Psychologist - SEN – Woking

The School: This school is known to be one of the best SEN schools in Surrey, providing a safe learning environment for children with complex learning, social, and communication difficulties, including physical disabilities. They offer therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, speech, and language therapies, integrated into the children's Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). The team collaborates closely with therapists to support the physical and emotional needs of the children. The school features excellent facilities, including a therapy pool, sensory rooms, and I-Gaze technology, with on-site training and support to aid career progression to roles like senior support assistants, teachers, and therapy assistants.

This role involves working with secondary-aged pupils, and it is an exciting opportunity as the school is moving into a new, state-of-the-art building in October.

The Children: The children have various special needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Physical Disabilities. Some children may be non-verbal or require personal care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance and support before, during, and after lessons
