Job summary

Blackbrook Community Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership Trust, is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support learning and foster a nurturing educational journey for pupils.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting with reading and writing, adapting activities under the guidance of the class teacher, and supervising pupils at break times.

Full-time, term-time only, 30.42 hours weekly; salary £17,009 per year; DBS clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience in education
• Experience Supporting pupils with SEND needs
• Excellent communication skills and working well as part of a team
• Experience with medical support for children in school

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with pupils with SEND needs as required
• Provide activities and learning support such as reading and writing in small groups under supervision of the class teacher
• Implement adaptations to learning identified by the class teacher and SENDCo
• Support teaching provision and pupil learning as part of the staff team
• Provide objective feedback to pupils to extend learning
• Supervise pupils at break and lunchtimes
