Teaching Assistant (SEND) required with effect from 1 September 2025 (fixed term contract).

32.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am 3.30pm, including half an hour unpaid lunch break), term time only.

We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant, ideally with experience of supporting Special Educational Needs in the primary age range, though training can be provided for the right candidate. You may be expected to work across year groups.

The main duties of this role will involve:

  • Supporting children in lessons, speech and language and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Supporting children with medical needs and providing personal care for them.
  • Supporting pupils with EHCPs and SEND Support Plans with their learning and development in both the classroom and our Resource Base.
  • Work under the guidance of teaching staff, Inclusion Manager and outside agencies in order to implement and evaluate agreed work programmes.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, committed and can show initiative. The successful candidates will be able to communicate effectively with teaching staff, the Inclusion Manager and work efficiently within the SEND team.
