Job summary

Ebbsfleet Green Primary School in Swanscombe is seeking a Teaching Assistant (SEND) to support pupils with a range of needs. The role focuses on helping children access learning and participate fully in the classroom.

You will work closely with class teachers to provide 1:1 or small group support, assist with personal care when required, and help deliver engaging, inclusive lessons. This permanent post is 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, with a Grade D2 salary (£21,074.70–£23,970.84).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a classroom setting.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) preferred; good literacy/numeracy expected.
• Ability to work as part of a busy school team.

About The Role

As a Teaching Assistant at Ebbsfleet Green Primary School you'll play a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of pupils including those with SEND. Every day brings variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. In this role, you will:

• Assist with personal care needs when required, always ensuring dignity and respect

Who You Are

We are looking to appoint someone who is:

• Passionate about making a difference to children with SEND
• Experienced in supporting pupils with ASD, speech and language needs, SEMH, or other additional needs
• Ideally qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent), with strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Proactive, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team
• Calm, empathetic, and resilient under pressure
• Committed to continuous professional development
