This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those with ASD and challenging behaviours. Previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an SEN capacity is preferred, but we are also open to applications from those who are eager to learn and grow in this area. If you’re committed to helping students thrive and want to join a supportive and dynamic team, this could be the perfect role for you! Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support and assist students with ASD and other SEN needs in mainstream classrooms. Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment for all students. Help support students with their learning activities, encouraging their engagement and independence. Assist in managing behavioural challenges and promote positive behaviour. Foster social and communication skills and ensure students are integrated into classroom activities. Support students’ personal care and assist with manual handling where needed. Essential Requirements: Commitment to a full-time position. Experience working with SEN students is preferred but not essential. A strong eagerness to learn and develop your skills in supporting students with additional needs. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one. Ability to work well within a team and build strong relationships with students and staff. Benefits: Weekly pay, ensuring you have a reliable income. 13 weeks of holiday during school holidays, in line with the school’s schedule. Career growth and progression opportunities within the school. A long-term role with job stability. Access to Axcis Academy, offering free online training in a range of SEN topics such as autism, ADHD, behaviour management, and more, to help enhance your skills and knowledge. Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and genuinely motivated to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to think on their feet, and willing to take on new challenges. If you are passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, then we want to hear from you! How to Apply: To apply, please send us your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and explaining why you are excited about this opportunity. We can’t wait to hear from you and discuss how you can contribute to the success of the school’s SEN team.
