Job summary

Chipstead Valley Primary School in Coulsdon is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide targeted 1:1 or small-group support for children with additional learning needs, promoting inclusion and high learning standards.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND, preferably in Key Stage 2.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team; good communication.

We are proud of our strong community spirit, supported by a highly engaged parental body and an active PTFA who work tirelessly to enhance our school environement.**Job Details:**We are seeking a highly engaging and nurturing individual to provide targeted support to children with addtional learning needs, supporting them both within and outside of a classroom environment. *Please note:*Due to the nature of this support, these contracts are fixed term until the end of the academic year, where support is reviewed again for the following year.We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual, to join our Teaching Assistant team, providing targeted support whilst successfully nurturing and inspiring our children. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities. You will be working as part of an energetic and busy team to provide additional classroom based and Learning and behavioural support to individual or small groups of children with additional learning needs. Experience of working with children in this capacity, as well as a caring and nurturing nature is essential.As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the ability to relate well to children of all ages, promoting excellent behaviour standards and encouraging independence.You will be passionate about inclusion and will have the ability to inspire our children to have a love for learning whilst striving to be 'the best they can be'. You will have the opportunity to work alongside outstanding teachers, to observe and share best practice on a regular basis to further develop a career.This position would suit an already experienced TA who has a passion for SEND and may already be working with children on this basis.
