Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking dedicated staff to join King’s Sutton Primary Academy under Prime7 MAT to support pupils with diverse learning needs.

You will have GCSE English and maths, school-based experience, and the ability to plan and deliver learning activities while safeguarding pupils.

The role emphasises building positive relationships with pupils and adults, staying calm under pressure, and contributing to an inclusive, high-quality curriculum.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent including English and maths grade 4/C or higher.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEN.
  • Experience planning and delivering learning activities.
  • Good IT skills to support learning.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers by supporting planning and delivery of learning activities.
  • Support pupils in engaging with learning activities and accessing the curriculum.

What skills and experience we're looking for

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and maths

Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting

Experience working with children / young people with SEN

Experience planning and delivering learning activities

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Good literacy and numeracy skills

Good organisational skills

Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults

Skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils

Knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs

Subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to the role, and ability to apply this effectively in supporting teachers and pupils

Ability to work as part of a team and to be flexible in their approach to daily routines

The ability to remain calm in stressful situations

Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children

Good IT skills, particularly using IT to support learning

PERSONAL QUALITIES

Sensitivity and understanding, to help build good relationships with pupils
