A leading education support provider is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants in Greater London to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The ideal candidates will be calm, confident in behaviour management, and dedicated to making a difference in a supportive school environment. We’re working with several mainstream primary schools looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. This role is all about connection—helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
1:1 support for a child with behavioural or emotional needs
Encouraging positive routines and helping manage transitions
Using de-escalation techniques and calm strategies when challenges arise
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor support
Have experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs (in school or elsewhere)
Can build trust with pupils who may find learning or social settings difficult
Are calm, consistent, and confident with behaviour management
Want to make a difference in a supportive primary school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
