Teaching Assistant Leeds Secondary School
Temporary Role: 17 October – 20 December 2025
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Fridays until 3:30 pm)

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in the Leeds area for a fixed-term placement. You will support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and/or moderate learning difficulties, working both in the classroom and in small groups to help every student achieve their potential. Additional duties may be required as needed to support the smooth running of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH and/or moderate learning difficulties
  • Assist teaching staff in delivering lessons and supporting learning activities
  • Work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents to create a positive learning environment
  • Undertake other duties as required to support students and staff
Person Specification
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH and/or moderate learning difficulties
  • Positive, flexible, and approachable with excellent communication skills
