Job description

Axcis Education is looking for a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in South Bristol, supporting pupils in their Learning Base as they work towards their GCSEs. About the Role: • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (term-time only). • Support secondary-age pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Dyslexia. • Work 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum and develop key skills. • Adapt learning materials and provide targeted support to help students achieve their potential. • Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement individual learning plans (ILPs). The Ideal Candidate: • Experience working with MLD, Dyslexia, or additional learning needs (desirable but not essential). • A patient and supportive approach to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and support staff. • Passion for inclusive education and making a difference in young people’s lives.
