Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join welcoming primary schools in Havering from September 2026. You will support learning across EYFS to KS2, work one-to-one and in small groups, and help develop literacy and numeracy skills.

The role is full-time, term-time only, starting September 2026, with competitive daily pay and strong pathways into teacher training or related education careers.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups
• Help children develop confidence in English, Maths and Phonics
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, where required
• Assist teachers with classroom preparation, behaviour management and lesson delivery
• Foster a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment

About You

We're looking for graduates who:

• Hold a degree (or are due to graduate in Summer 2026)

Previous experience working with children through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, volunteering or school placements is beneficial but not essential.
