Job summary

Stowe School Limited is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Pre-Prep) for a fixed-term maternity cover in Buckinghamshire. The role supports learning across small groups and individuals, helping to create a stimulating environment where children can thrive.

You will hold a Level 3 Early Years or childcare qualification, be a strong communicator, and bring energy and enthusiasm to help children develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Hours: Monday to Friday (33.75 hours per week)

Rate: £13.41 per hour

Start date: January 2027 - August 2027

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Pre-Prep Department at Ashfold School. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will play an important role in supporting children across our Pre-Prep setting, helping to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. You will support small groups and individuals with their learning, preparing creative classroom activities, help with educational visits and promote positive behaviour at all times.

You will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a Childcare related field and ideally have experience working within an Early Years setting. You will be a strong communicator and have enthusiasm and energy with a strong commitment to helping children succeed.
