Stowe School Limited, Ashfold School, invites applications for a Teaching Assistant in Pre-Prep on a fixed-term maternity cover. Based in Dorton, Buckinghamshire, the role is 33.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a rate of £13.41 per hour starting January 2027.

The successful candidate will support small groups and individuals, prepare activities, assist with visits, and promote positive behaviour, working under experienced teachers in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 qualification in Early Years or childcare field.

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Pre-Prep Department at Ashfold School. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a nurturing and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Working alongside experienced teachers, you will play an important role in supporting children across our Pre-Prep setting, helping to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. You will support small groups and individuals with their learning, preparing creative classroom activities, help with educational visits and promote positive behaviour at all times.

You will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a Childcare related field and ideally have experience working within an Early Years setting. You will be a strong communicator and have enthusiasm and energy with a strong commitment to helping children succeed.
