Job summary

Bursley Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities. You will help with planning, preparing resources, and providing pastoral support to pupils.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff.
• Empathetic and understanding to the needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision on a whole-class and individual basis.
• Prepare resources to support learning activities.
• Support pupils pastorally and monitor progress with feedback to the class teacher.
• Contribute to evaluating student progress and adapt support to meet learning needs.
